Intro to me!

All right well I don't really know where to start so I guess I will start by saying my name is Kennedy Alexander, and I am from the quirky skater town of Santa Cruz California. August 17, 2013 I moved to Amarillo Texas to begin my new life as a freshman in college. Now the one question I get all the time is, why did you move to Texas. The answers change depending on who I'm talking to but for the most part I tell people its because I wanted something as different as I could get from back home. Don't get me wrong I love California its beautiful and the weather is to die for, but something was always missing. I was always that artsy outcast that hung out in the back of the room and drew random drawings of the teacher and the other students. I didn't have a whole lot of friends, but don't feel too bad I liked things that way. I grew up in a place where I didn't fit. In many ways I would say I don't fit in here, but one major change is I have found others like me. This is the first time I've found other kids like me. Instead of going to midnight to get drunk they just like cranking up the music in their basement and having their own personal dance parties. They appreciate the little things in life, like drawing or just acting completely crazy. They don't mind making a fool of themselves to get a laugh out of their friends. Finally the best part is, in my group of friends the weirder the better. I don't have to hide anymore, and even if its only temporary this California girl finally has a place to really call home.
